Ford stopped making the Crown Vic in 2011, and at that point they had a V8 designed in the early 90s. They are a lot of fuel, and the upkeep cost for other maintenance between a Crown Vic and an explorer isn't that different. They were good cars, but they were built on a frame design dating back to the 60s with an engine from the 90s.

you CAN put 22s on a crown victoria if you like minimal contact patch, increased rotating mass causing poor acceleration and poor braking, increased unsprung weight causing poor ride quality and handling. i think they are ugly but it is up to you, by the way, i am rollin' 20s on the grain trucks dawg.
