Beginning in 1935 the Texas Rangers were finally designated an official badge made from the 1947 or 1948 Mexican cinco peso. The coin features the last Aztec Emperor Cuauhtemoc on one side and the Mexico's national coat of arms on the other. The badge is slightly domed with a star in the middle of a circular band and a very detailed design.
