elevendayempire • 2 yr. ago. They're pretty heavily based on the outfits he wore in the 90s. IIRC the designer who dresses him is heavily inspired by 80s/90s Axl. Details like the flannel shirt he ties around his waist echo the kilt he sometimes wore back then (without him having to wear a kilt, which would be a bit undignified these days).

Personally, his best styles for me are the '89 shows during the Lies era, Farm Aid 1990 and in 1993-94 where he gets less flamboyant and finally starts looking normal again by adopting an almost "grunge" look. Personal favorite is probably the 2000-2001 look oddly enough with the dragon shirts/long coat.
