9 November 2015 Dignitaries From Nanjing were present today for the start of construction on the Chinese Pavilion. The pavilion will be built on the car park opposite the Videolab on the Torenallee. The Chinese Pavilion is a gift from Eindhoven's Chinese twin city Nanjing in celebration of 20 years of twinning between the two cities.

EINDHOVEN - De grap is snel gemaakt: het lijkt wel of ze de Chinese muur hebben nagebouwd op Strijp-S in Eindhoven. De brute buitenmuren zonder ramen van het nieuwe Chinese paviljoen aan de Torenallee doen wel heel sober en strak aan. Misschien omdat we een meer frivool, traditioneel goud met rood Chinees gebouw hadden verwacht.
