Buckeye Brownies Recipe

KELLIE'S IOWA BROWNIES : Both children and adults adore these. Delicious served with ice cream! 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter 1 cup sugar 16 oz. chocolate syrup (Hershey's) 4 eggs 1 cup all-purpose flour 1 cup chopped nuts 1/2 tsp. salt. Preheat oven to 350°F. Cream together butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat in chocolate syrup, salt, then eggs.


Brownie Banana Split Brownie Mamaia

Preheat oven to 350°. In a medium saucepan, combine the water, butter and COCOA POWDER. Cook over medium-high heat until boiling. Set aside to cool. In a mixing bowl, mix together the sour cream and eggs. Add the cooled cocoa mixture and mix well. Add the dry ingredients. Beat together until smooth. Pour into a greased 9x13 jelly roll pan.

CAKE: Cream together butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat in syrup, then eggs, one at a time. Beat in flour gradually, fold in nuts.

Pour into greased 13" x 9" baking pan and bake at 350 degrees F for 25 minutes or until done. For Topping: Combine margarine, sugar, and milk in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Boil 2 minutes. Remove from heat and add chocolate chips. Stir until they are dissolved. Quickly spread on brownies. Sprinkle with additional chopped nuts if desired.

Brownies

Total disaster. The recipe says to bake in a 9×13 jellyroll pan. It just barely fit and then it overflowed all over the oven. In mid-bake we (and by we I mean Mr. MarthaAndMe who gets called in for the really big disasters) transferred to a 9 inch square baking pan. Huge mess.


BROWNIES

In a saucepan, combine butter, sugar, and evap. milk. Bring to a boil and let boil for 2 minutes. Stir in choc. chips and take off stove; let sit for 2 minutes to melt chips- don't stir during this time or frosting will be grainy. After 2 minutes, stir well. Frost brownies while icing is warm; cool completely and cut into squares.
