The 30,000 m 2 (320,000 sq ft) museum features 2,448 m 2 (26,350 sq ft) of mosaic and replaces the Bardo National Museum in Tunis as the world's largest mosaic museum.

In stained glass, mosaic art is typically done by fitting together irregularly shaped glass pieces into color patterns instead of pictorial patterns. Since the traditional stained glass process generated a lot of wasted glass pieces, this is an economical way to use up leftover materials.

This style of mosaic pieces uses shapes of glass but they are adhered to a clear glass instead of soldered together. This method gives the option of being transparent and somewhat similar to stained glass pieces. The spaces between the pieces are filled with some form of grout later so they look much like a stained glass window.

Step 5: Add "grout" to Your Mosaic and ENJOY!! This is where it comes together- so satisfying! Mix up enough epoxy to cover the entire piece 1/8" deep.
