Presque Isle River Waterfalls Loop Trail is located near Wakefield in Michigan's Gogebic County. This is a 2.3 mile (3.7 km) loop trail on the western edge of Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park. My wife, parents, and I enjoyed visiting the three waterfalls at Presque Isle River Recreation Area. The intent was to hike the 2.7 miles West and East trail loops; however, the East trail is very rustic with substantial exposed tree roots - not the best for folks that walk best on even surfaces. So to avoid injury, we remained on the West trail.
