On a recent trip to Amsterdam we visited the FloraHolland Auction Centre in Aalsmeer (Bloemenveiling Aalsmeer). FloraHolland is the largest flower auction centre in the world and they handle about 60% of the international trade in plants and flowers. Get to the viewing gallery before 9am to catch the best action as the flower-laden carts go to Dutch auction, with a huge clock showing the starting price. How Does Aalsmeer Flower Auction Work Best Flower Site
You have to get up early, because the flower auction is open from Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 11:00 hrs. Early closing is on a Thursday when trading ceases at 09:00 hrs. The earlier you arrive, the more you will get to see of the entire auction process. Tickets are not available in advance.
