It's like £50 a year for funimation but 1 or 2 dvds can easily beat that. I'm against pirating unless it's the only practical option.

The thing is a fansub group may do more research, like being familiar with the manga and how the fanbase already adopted some phrases or names or dedicate more of their time to proof read - they don't have tight schedules like simulcasts and they take a few series at once not the whole crunchyroll lineup.
