Beachport Jetty. When driving into Beachport, the stunning Beachport Jetty is typically the first few attractions people will come across. At 772 metres, Beachport Jetty is the second longest jetty in South Australia (ranked just behind the Port Germein Jetty). Because of its length, from the foreshore area, Beachport Jetty somehow looked like it was extending all the way to the South Pole!

Beachport has a superb jetty - at 772m (formerly 1.2km) it is the second longest jetty in South Australia, covering a vast expanse of shallow water. Squid, mullet, Australian salmon, tommies, gar, bream, whiting and mulloway are caught. The best local fishing beaches are the aptly named Salmon Hole and Glen Point Beach.

Construction of the Jetty was commenced in 1878 and was originally intended to be 4,000 feet long with a T head, but owing to many problems with the contractors and Government Architect, the Jetty was not completed until 1882.

The Waterfront Café at the Jetty is a popular coastal town café just metres from the beach. With its great reputation and well equipped set up, this café is perfect for a working owner.
